In the build up to and including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Northamptonshire County Council and its partners wish to deliver the overall vision for the Olympic legacy in Northamptonshire, namely that the county is recognised as “The county with the fastest growing cultural and sporting participation”.

The Championing Northamptonshire logo has therefore been developed to link all Northamptonshire 2012 Strategy related activities under one common and easily identifiable brand.

A key outcome within the 2012 Strategy is the delivery of the Cultural Olympiad in Northamptonshire, specifically to “Improve Northamptonshire’s national and international profile through the promotion and celebration of our unique cultural heritage and assets.”

As part of the Igniting Ambition Festival 2011 (the Cultural Olympiad in the East Midlands), FLOW will deliver a vibrant programme of events that:

• Reflects the county’s rich cultural heritage and outstanding natural environment

• Engages with young people and their families

• Contributes towards enhanced health and wellbeing

• Builds capacity within the existing cultural sector
