Following our successful July events, exploring aspects of the legacy of Northamptonshire writer, illustrator and wildlife conservationist B.B. (Denys Watkins-Pitchford), Bright Stream Arts is pleased to be able to tell you about our autumn performance of RIVERLANDS.
This newly-commissioned work will be performed at All Saints Church, Aldwincle, Northamptonshire. Currently in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, this luminous and tranquil space lends itself perfectly to the work that poet Jo Bell and storyteller Jo Blake have created together, in response to B.B.’s book A Summer on the Nene. Sound and light projections will accompany their words, making this an enveloping interpretation of the moods of the Nene.
There are two performances over the weekend of 29-30 October 2011.
We are pleased to be working with the Churches Conservation Trust to present RIVERLANDS.
The Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity that cares for and preserves over 340 English churches of historic, architectural or archaeological importance which are no longer needed for regular worship. It promotes public enjoyment of them and their use as an educational and community resource and the churches attract more than 1.5 million visitors a year.
